Environmental Focus
In 2007 we were delighted to win the ‘Brightest Young Business in the Energy & Environmental Sector’ at the University of Strathclyde’s Enterprise Awards. This was in recognition for our commitment to reducing our customers overall ‘Carbon Footprint’ through the adoption of ‘Synthetic Lubricant Technology’. We’re committed to helping our customers deliver significant reductions in their energy consumption and environmental waste.
FOCUS ON THE ENVIRONMENT
A major automotive engine plant approached
(VOX) to work on a joint initiative aimed at reducing the
volume of lubricant, process wash and metalworking fluid
waste generated from its manufacturing operations.
- Zero Waste
- Zero depletion
- Zero health and safety incidents
that, once completed, it:
- Could be deployed as a
common solution across all of the car manufacturer’s
global power train operations - Would, at a minimum, not
compromise but improve the performance of traditional
lubricants, metalworking fluids and process wash chemicals - Would not adversely affect
the capability of performance of machinery and any
associated sub-componentry
Working closely together, we developed and optimised a total
lubricants and coolants system suited to the motor company’s
manufacturing processes. (VOX) total system approach focuses
on ensuring the compatibility of the chemistry between
interacting metalworking, honing, wash fluid and machine
tool lubricants.
MINIMUM ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. MAXIMUM FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE
(VOX) has developed products, tools and
techniques that enable its customers to achieve their
environmental goals without having to sacrifice manufacturer
efficiency or incur incremental costs. These are supported
by a wide range of equipment and services such as(VOX) – a real-time fluid monitoring system –
and (VOX) CompleteCMS on-site management of
fluids and fluid recycling
PRODUCTS FOR EFFICIENCY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
(VOX) offers a wide range of environmentally-responsible products contributing to reduced mist, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions and wastes. Reduction in the total fluid usage in manufacturing is made
possible through dedicated on-site condition monitoring equipment, employing compatible lubricant technologies and tailored service plans designed to extend fluid life.
